RLB ESG Report 2023
Social

We want to do the best for our people and communities
The way we interact with our people and the communities in which we live and work – the Social component of ESG – is integral to RLB’s 2030 Growth Strategy.
We recognise that investing in our people is key to our continued success. We know that by building a diverse and inclusive workforce, we are building a business fit for the future. We believe that promoting equality and wellbeing in the workplace will support our employees to reach their full potential, and empower them to deliver better value and outcomes for our clients.
This is why:
- RLB is committed to providing all employees ongoing personal and professional development and training
- Progressive diversity and inclusion strategies and policies are embedded in every part of the business
- We focus on employee wellbeing through health and wellness programmes for all our people
- We are working to close the gender pay gap and increasing the proportion of women in our workforce, particularly within senior positions
- We champion our ‘One RLB’ culture, ensuring fairness, transparency and opportunity for all in everything we do.
As a responsible business, we also accept we have a commitment to give back to local communities, now and in the future.
We do this through fundraising and volunteering activities, supporting local, national and international charities, encouraging underrepresented groups into construction, and ensuring the projects we design and deliver have wider social, economic and environmental benefits.
Making a positive, sustainable impact and doing the best we can – for our people and communities – underpins everything we do.
