RLB ESG Report 2023
Introduction
Improving ESG performance is core to our strategy
RLB is committed to be a truly sustainable global business by minimising our carbon footprint, delivering better environmental outcomes for our clients and the built environment, investing in our people, and giving back to local communities.
Our four internal pillars – Environment, Clients, People and Community – make up the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting framework we have previously used to demonstrate our commitment to sustainable business practices.
As part of our evolving strategy to be a sustainability market leader in the built environment sector, we are now measuring our performance in terms of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in line with our clients’ needs and current market standards.
Our CSR pillars will remain the cornerstones of our values, behaviours and how we do business, and are fully aligned with our new ESG focus. For the first time, we are reporting more distinctly on our governance structure, compliance standards and business ethics. We will also continue to evaluate our performance in relation to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This report sets out the progress we have made within the UK over the past 12 months towards our targets, including our ambitious goal to reach net zero globally by 2030.
I hope you find it informative and insightful and my thanks to all those who have contributed to the social value and better outcomes we are creating for the benefit of the environment and our clients, people and communities as we strive to create a better tomorrow.
