Promoting diversity, equity and inclusion sits at the core of our values, which is why we are working hard to increase the proportion of women in our workforce, particularly at senior level, and close the gender pay gap.

In this report, we set out the progress we have made up until the year ending 5 April 2024. It shows that 22% of our senior leaders are female, 32% of all our employees are female, and our mean gender pay gap has decreased slightly.

We recognise we can and must do better. We will continue to invest in the personal and professional development of our people and create a more diverse workforce by attracting and retaining female talent through equitable and family-friendly policies. We will remain an active partner in cross-industry initiatives that seek to overcome the gender bias inherent in the construction sector.
