VALUE IN DATA

HARNESS DATA-DRIVEN DECISION-MAKING

Optimising public estates in an ever-changing landscape can be accomplished by finding tangible, valuable and reliable insights through data collected throughout the life cycles of services, projects and assets.

With the exponential growth of digital technologies and data, you can now manage vast data sets, control them, validate them, and then use them not only to meet your immediate needs, but also to support your organisation's long term ambitions.

DATA TO OPTIMISE

Built assets and estates can be transformed into smart, optimised and sustainable spaces that meet the challenges of tomorrow. By gathering and interrogating asset data, you can use this insight to manage planned maintenance, asset life cycles, technical due diligence and statutory compliance to optimise expenditure and estate performance.

Our expertise in business analysis and consultancy, digital procurement and solutions development can help you accomplish this. Our asset optimisation specialists can guide you in how to use data to manage, improve and enhance your estate, so that overall costs can be reduced, and efficiencies can be maximised.

DATA TO DECARBONISE

There is growing demand for energy improvement measures and decarbonisation solutions, regardless of the size of the estate or individual asset. By capturing and harnessing asset performance data, we can make smarter, more strategic decisions on decarbonisation and plot a route to net zero.

Our team of sustainability specialists can advise on how data can help you reduce overall estate costs, maximise efficiencies and achieve your organisational goals. Using sustainability-oriented data surveys, we can evaluate baseline energy consumption and efficiency of building fabric and services to develop your decarbonisation roadmap.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Organisations across the public sector use data to plan for the future. Across central and local government, healthcare, and education, RLB guides clients toward innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Using our powerful data analytics software, we can provide customised dashboards and live reports. Together with our in-house cost management tools, our clients can understand their options and make informed decisions related to built assets.

University of East London

Making big data usable is the driver behind our work with the University of East London. Our solution harnesses data from across the university's diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from small routine repairs to large capital projects.

This data is combined into a dashboard overview of the financial and programme position at an estate level, with the ability to drill down through the data to a specific project and identify potential issues.

North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust

Understanding performance is crucial for this NHS Trust. We developed a dashboard that provides their team with an initial overall view of the estate across all facets which can then be interrogated for insight findings.

Dashboard reporting harnesses the physical condition to elemental level and provides an uplift factor for project costs. Visualisations enable the Trust to drill down items by facet type to indicate issues.

Sheffield City Council

Our bespoke dashboard helps the Council see opportunities and challenges more clearly. Based on a condition-based four-facet survey, the data illustrates where estates can be optimised and made more efficient.

The space utilisation facet uses a map to indicate empty buildings and enables scoping for future use. This geographical data is also used to identify poor performing buildings which can enable the council to determine functional suitability and quality.

Royal Holloway University of London

Our project with Royal Holloway is focused on finding a better way to work. Using a digital PMO system, we are helping the University's estates team streamline its project portfolio management.

With a bespoke database platform, we have developed a programme and reporting solution that can manage multiple projects and workstreams delivered on a rolling basis. This data will be used to forecast and plan delivery timescales to better manage projects.
