Estate Strategy

Good estate management

Maximising the performance of built assets across their life cycle, and understanding how data can help to drive efficiency, is key to managing and optimising school premises and estate buildings.

How we can help

Statutory compliance, procurement strategy, expenditure and funding opportunities all fall within the remit of good estate management. School and academies need to consider how to effectively manage premises, buildings and overall estate.

We provide strategic advice to help school and academy clients develop and realise good estate management. We can advise you how to create the assets of the future – assets that are more cost-efficient, more sustainable, and deliver better social, economic and environmental outcomes for learners and local communities.

By capturing and analysing data on your assets, we can help you make informed decisions about planned maintenance, statutory compliance, and the control and optimisation of expenditure.

We can ensure all asset data is scheduled, recorded and tracked alongside condition data collected through site surveys to produce a clear and concise care and maintenance plan to help inform funding requirements and identify bid opportunities.

Department for Education

We supported the largest condition surveying commission of its kind in the UK public sector. The Condition data Collection (CDC) survey involved 22,000 education establishments (around 70,000 buildings) over a three year period. Every month, our expert team visited 200 schools across England to assess building fabric and M&E equipment. We are currently supporting CDC2.
